Environment

Economic and environmental considerations impose that the placer mining activities will consist in suction dredge operations that focus on the clean recovery of gold from within-stream bottom sediments, without creating water disturbance. The suction dredge removes the ore material from the bottom of the river, usually down to bedrock, and passes it through floating pipelines at the water’s surface, then through shore pipes to the processing unit situated on the ground (washing plant).

This process…

extracts the dense sediment and cobble fraction, which is pre-washed in the aspiration process through the discharge pipeline system using river water, then washed into the washing plant and finally screened through mechanical screens, concentrators and fine shaking decks, while redepositing the un-useful tailing material back into the stream.

All the Goldrush Mining equipments used in this process, starting with the submersible pumps and continuing with the discharge pipelines, excavators, shaking decks, sluice boxes, screen media and concentrators are manufactured and designated in order to accomplish the highest environment standards.

We believe…

that the latest generation of technology that we use in this project will generate, as effect, an insignificant touch on the environment. Involving the world’s leading suppliers in the industry and joining the most renowned scientists in the field of alluvial gold deposits, all this talks about the attention we pay to environmental protection. However, fugitive dust emissions from land-based activities, the mere presence of the human factor which could only temporarily impact on local flora and fauna within the boundaries of human civilization and others like these are inherent in this kind of activity.

Placer gold mining…

is recognized as a clean industry and Goldrush Mining is the Company that actually makes this a reality: zero toxic waste, zero chemical separation, zero acid drainage, zero smelter emissions, zero cyanide processing, zero explosion, no settling ponds, all the working actions combining exclusively river water with mechanical procedures. All the motorizations involved in this project have been chosen with strict adherence to the pollution rules required by current legislation.

Economic impact

Goldrush Mining projects have an easy-manageable risk taking into consideration the following aspects:

  • creating jobs in the working area
  • capital infusion by the sale, rent and services contracts that are signed
  • contributing to the local budget with concessions, local taxes
  • expanding local business: transportation services, food and accommodation
  • benefiting of piers/embankments that secure the river banks nearby the resident area
